“Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David and said, How glorious was the king of Israel today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of the handmaid of his servants as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovered himself.” – 2 Samuel 6:20
The remark of Michal, Saul's daughter, who is the wife of David, the King of Israel was uncalled for and lack spiritual understanding. After such an important occasion, instead of giving her husband the needed support and reception as a good wife should do, she despised and mocked him. The consequence of her utterance was that she became barren for the rest of her life. Some women in the world today are like Michal, they do not have an atom of regard or respect for their husbands, and they address them like their house boy. Some have unconsciously turned their husbands into effeminates.
The danger in the sin of effeminacy is that both the effeminate and his wife are both quilty before God. It is a serious sin which can lead to destruction if they do not repent. (1 Corinthians 6:9.) The bible enjoins wives to submit to their husbands and acknowledge his headship. – Ephesians 5:23, 24
