Text: “Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea further; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.” - Ecclesiastes 8:17.

Comment: It is presently agreed and published, that the oceans cover approximately 71% of the earth's surface and that a large proportion of all life on earth lives in the ocean and yet, the exact size of this large proportion is unknown, since many ocean species are still to be discovered. This proves to the letter, the words of the preacher, King Solomon, which also, is the text for today.

The wonders of the creations of God are such that any right thinking person would appreciate and marvel at them. Let us take a while to talk about the human brain. Making up just about 2 percent of a human's body weight, the human brain remains the most important organ in the human system as it is responsible for controlling every function, completed by the human system. Weighing just about 1.5 kilograms, the human brain contains about 86 billion nerve cells (neurons) and billions of nerve fibres (axons and dendrites). These neurons or nerve cells are connected by trillions of connections or synapses. Scientists hold that the main difference between the human and animal brains, is their size, that, the human brain is the largest of all vertebrates, relative to body size and that humans also have more neurons per unit volume than other animals. The complexity of the human brain is such that despite the advancements and breakthroughs in Neuroscience, much is left to be answered and imagined. “Oh that men would praise the LORD...for his wonderful works to the children of men!” - Psalm 107:8; 40:5.
