Text:
“Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground; Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.” - Job 5:6, 7.
Comment:

Human beings are surrounded by various problems which God Almighty outlined through Isaiah the prophet to include the fear of not realizing one's basic needs, the fear of captivity and the fear of death. (Isaiah 51:12-14) It cannot be denied that man has been on a downward slide since the fall and, as we proceed further into the last days, the times are getting more difficult by the day because there are principalities and powers, who are behind the economic, political, religious and social problems of the world.

The situation is such that while proffered solutions have so far proved ineffective in dealing with existing problems new ones are springing up everyday. Truly, the troubles of the world are multiplying “as the sparks fly upward”. Unfortunately, many of the scientists and philosophers of the world have failed to acknowledge their incapacity to deal with the numerous problems confronting mankind. They should know that they are mortals, made of flesh, made from the dust of the ground. (Jeremiah 17:5; Isaiah 31:3)  It is to God Almighty we should turn for help. “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call. - Psalm 20:7,9.
