Text:“The pure candlestick, with the lamps thereof, even with the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for light,” - Exodus 39:37
Aaron and his sons were chosen by God to serve in the priest's office. (Exodus 28:1) Touching on “the ark of testimony” they were given clear instructions as to how they should set in order all that should be kept in it. God commanded Moses His servant saying, “And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.” - Exodus 25:9, 40.
St. Paul, when he saw that the use of the gift of speaking in tongues was being abused, decided to give instructions to regulate it. He said the way they were carrying on people would say they were a set of mad people. (1 Corinthians 14:23, 24) He also told the Christians at Corinth that when he comes he would set all outstanding matters in order and that he left Titus in Crete for that purpose. – 1 Corinthians 11:34; Titus 1:5.
It is important for all who worship God to follow the order He had laid out for us and also use the knowledge He had given us to do things in ways that are decent and proper and that make for peace and neatness – knowing that all things are manifest in His sight. (Matthew 18:20; Hebrews 4:13; Colossians 3:23,24) Scripture says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” (Psalm 37:23) “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” - Psalms 119:133.
