: “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” - Psalm 37:25
COMMENT: This declaration by David the prophet is a strong affirmation of Jehovah's faithfulness to His children on the basis of His own personal experience. The point of the text is that we should not be restless about the wants of life or have fear of the future in as much as we are given to doing the will of God. “Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine” - Psalm 33:18,19.
Knowing that people of the world are weighed down by several problems imposed on them by the devil, Jesus Christ pointed the way to life and peace for those who want to get the salvation of God. He stated: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28-30.
