Text:“O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” – Psalm 34:8.
From all ecclesiastical records, never a time had the Almighty God left His sheep desolate. He will keep in safety all who put their trust in Him. – Isaiah 26:3,4.
Trusting the Most High involves undivided worship, abstaining from consultation of other gods, deities and diabolic practices, no matter the alluring enticements from the ungodly. “And when they shall say unto you,” says the Prophet Isaiah, “Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?” – Isaiah 8:19.
What many people fail to realize is that engaging the services of witchdoctors, false prophets and occult groups only help to worsen their situations because whatever the devil gives with one hand, he retrieves in a greater measure with the other hand. But “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” (Proverbs 10:22) His thoughts for us, saith the LORD, are “thoughts of peace, and not of evil”, to give us an expected end. “Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” – Jeremiah 29:11-13.
Let us therefore be steadfast in our resolve to serve Him and be more committed to His worship. “Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.” – Job 8:7.
