: “All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils; My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit. God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me. My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.” - Job 27:3-6.
COMMENT: The determination or faith of Job in the midst of his fiery trial has been recorded as an example to worshippers of God in latter ages. The lesson is that come what may we should not cast away our faith, rather we should continue to persevere, doing righteousness by God's grace. “In your patience possess ye your souls.” (Luke 21:19) On the other hand, all those who because of doubts or lack of faith in God and His Holy Organisation keep running from pillar to post in the name of seeking deliverance should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. (James 1:5-8) Once we have committed our problems to God in prayers, we should have the rest of mind that comes from confidence that He is carrying the burden for us. God Almighty cannot lie in respect to keeping His promises. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” - Numbers 23:19.
