“And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.” - Acts 2:40-41.
The Gibeonites did not stand aloof and wait for the battle to begin before taking any steps for self-preservation. Those who hate the lies, injustices and oppressions in the world today should not and indeed, cannot wait till the great tribulation before fleeing for refuge in God, but must act quickly upon hearing the truth that they may find protection and salvation. The ambassadors of the Gibeonites, said to Joshua, " Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the Lord thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have done this thing. " — Joshua 9: 9, 24.
Those who have known the judgment of God should forsake falsehood and waywardness and seek sheltar in the “secret place of God Almighty” so as to be protected and saved.
By means of the tools of mass communication, the truth can be accessed by those who are diligent in searching for it by the grace of God. St. Paul stated: “Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation…”- Hebrews 2:1-4.
