Comment: Some experts have identified and described five levels on which we can communicate. An understanding of these levels is essential for a successful marriage.  In a reverse order of their intensity or height they are listed as follows:-

Level  5   -  Small talk or shallow conversation eg.
How are you?
Level  4   -  Factual conversation in which you share
nformation  for example; where are you
going? How was your
day?
Level 3    -  Communication that focuses on ideas.
This level indicates a level of intimacy in
which you feel free to express opinions.
Level 2  -     At this level, people share feelings and
emtions i.e. what is going on deep
insie you.  Here you accept your
differences and be willing to
accommodate.  You verbalize
frustration, anger, resentment and
happiness. Couples should not dwell on
negatives.
Level 1 -     Deep insight  is the highest level of
commnication. It reflects deep
affection.  Couples
are perfectly in tune with each other and
understand themselves deeply and are
emotionally  involved.  Deep personal
matters are shared and they plan
together.  It is a peak experience in
marriage.
The Bible says that two cannot walk together except they be agreed and that we should be joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.  (Amos 3:3; 1

Corinthians 1:10) These admonitions should be practised from the home.
