“And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.” – Acts 24:16.

It is important for us as true worshippers of God to have a clear conscience one to another.  It is commonly said that “a clear conscience fears no accusation.” There are some today who harbour ill will, hatred, malice and envy against their brothers and sisters.

They laugh in the open but go behind to misrepresent their brothers. True worshippers of God should not indulge in such acts. “Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.” (Psalm 28:3) “The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.” (Psalm 55:21) The Scriptures further say that if a man says he loves God and hateth his brother, that person is a liar (1 John 4:20, 21) We should continue to live in peace, unity and love doing the will of God for our blessings and salvation at the end. When we have a good conscience towards God and man, we will be at peace with God and keep to the tenets of the golden rule which says, “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” – Mathew 7:12.
