Text: :“For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord God, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.” - Ezekiel 20:40.
Comment: As the text for today shows, before one will be saved one must be in a place of security or safety which God has provided. It is there one can effectively watch and pray. That place is the Lord's Organisation or holy Church or Kingdom symbolically called "Mountain" by Jesus Christ in Matthew 24:15, 16.. That is where God's doctrine or the truth of His word is preached without pollution or corruption. St. Paul declared: “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” - 1 Timothy 2:3,4. See also Psalm 145:18; 1 Timothy 4:1-6, 15,16.
There is wisdom therefore in WATCHING AND PRAYING ALWAYS in this generation of ours which is burdened with all unrighteousness. God will certainly visit this evil world some day to execute His vengeance on unrepentant sinners, as it is written: “Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” - Isaiah26:20, 21.
